PARENT AND PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

Northeast Wolves FC is committed to creating a positive, respectful, safe, and development-focused soccer environment for all players, families, coaches, referees, volunteers, opponents, and spectators. Participation in club activities requires that all players and parents/guardians follow the rules below.

Parent/Guardian Rules

  1. Parents/guardians must treat all players, coaches, referees, volunteers, opponents, spectators, and facility staff with respect.

  2. Parents/guardians may not yell at, insult, threaten, harass, intimidate, or verbally abuse any player, coach, referee, volunteer, parent, spectator, or opposing team.

  3. Parents/guardians must not use foul, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language at practices, games, tournaments, camps, or club events.

  4. Parents/guardians must not argue with referees, coaches, opposing teams, spectators, or club staff during practices, games, or events.

  5. Parents/guardians must not coach from the sideline in a way that conflicts with the coach’s instructions. Positive encouragement is welcome, but tactical instruction should come from the coach.

  6. Parents/guardians must support a development-focused environment and understand that youth soccer is about player growth, effort, teamwork, discipline, and enjoyment, not only winning.

  7. Parents/guardians must address concerns respectfully and at an appropriate time. Concerns should not be raised during games, practices, or immediately after emotionally charged situations.

  8. Parents/guardians must follow all Northeast Wolves FC rules, facility rules, league rules, tournament rules, and coach instructions.

  9. Parents/guardians are responsible for making sure their child arrives on time, is picked up on time, and has appropriate equipment, including shin guards, proper footwear, water, and weather-appropriate clothing.

  10. Parents/guardians must notify the coach or club if the player has an injury, illness, medical restriction, concussion symptoms, or any condition that may affect safe participation.

  11. Parents/guardians may not enter the field, training area, bench area, or coaching area unless invited by a coach or required for an emergency.

  12. Parents/guardians must not encourage unsafe, aggressive, retaliatory, or unsportsmanlike behavior.

  13. Parents/guardians must respect coach decisions regarding training groups, playing time, positions, team placement, discipline, and player development.

  14. Parents/guardians must not post negative, abusive, defamatory, or harmful comments about the club, coaches, players, referees, opponents, or other families on social media or public platforms.

  15. Parents/guardians must help maintain a safe and positive environment and understand that their behavior reflects on the player, team, and club.

Player Rules

  1. Players must treat coaches, teammates, referees, opponents, volunteers, and spectators with respect.

  2. Players must listen to coaches, follow instructions, and make a good-faith effort during practices, games, camps, and team activities.

  3. Players must not bully, tease, threaten, hit, push, harass, or intentionally hurt another player.

  4. Players must not use foul, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language.

  5. Players must play safely and avoid reckless, dangerous, retaliatory, or intentionally aggressive behavior.

  6. Players must respect referees and accept referee decisions without arguing.

  7. Players must respect teammates and support a positive team environment.

  8. Players must take care of club equipment, facility property, fields, and personal belongings.

  9. Players must wear required equipment and come prepared to participate.

  10. Players must immediately tell a coach or parent/guardian if they feel injured, dizzy, sick, unsafe, or unable to continue participating.

Disciplinary Action

Northeast Wolves FC reserves the right to take appropriate action if a parent/guardian, player, or spectator violates this Code of Conduct. Depending on the severity and circumstances, disciplinary action may include a verbal warning, written warning, removal from a practice or game, suspension from club activities, restriction from attending events, or dismissal from the program. Serious misconduct, threats, violence, harassment, discriminatory behavior, or repeated violations may result in immediate removal or dismissal.
